Adult Art Class Helper
You’ll support professional teaching artists in classes for adults with disabilities, such as Art of Gardening, Creative Movement, Printmaking, and Drumming. The classes, combined with your encouragement, will help students build social skills and self-confidence through artistic accomplishment and creative fellowship. Classes are 10-15 students who are 16 years or older. Check out the current schedule of classes to see which ones match your strengths and time.

Is This the Right Fit for Me?
You’re ready to step up when needed to show off some dance moves or get your hands dirty in some art supplies. You get that everyone has unique abilities and something important to offer. You love the way the arts can reveal things about people or teach us all lessons. You know that we’re all in this together, and that offering a safe environment is important. While you certainly don’t need to be a professional artist, your art skills are welcome!

What Others are Saying
“My favorite part about volunteering at ACT is the opportunity to interact with people who are different from me. Everyone is so friendly and enjoys what they are doing. I also enjoy meeting new interns and volunteers through ACT.”
