Happy Cat Cafe

Cat Cafe Helper

Use your people skills and love for animals to keep the cats and customers happy. You’ll help care for ten different cats by refilling food and water, cleaning litter boxes, and offering plenty of cat cuddles. You’ll also be available to help customers during their visit. While customers first come for the coffee and kittens, the not-so-hidden agenda is that customers can adopt the furry friend they played with. As you educate customers on the joys of adoption, you may even find yourself saying, “Whiskers seems to really like you; wouldn’t it be great to take him home?”

Is This the Right Fit for Me?

You enjoy the purrfect blend of cat and human interaction. You love furry feline friends, so you don’t mind cleaning up after them, even if that means clipping their nails or lifting a heavy bag of kitty litter. You also like meeting new people. You will be a main contact for customers, so it’s important to feel comfortable answering questions and enforcing cafe rules.

About Happy Cat Cafe

Happy Cat Cafe provides a fun atmosphere for customers to enjoy cats and coffee. Working with Carol’s Ferals, Happy Cat Cafe shelters ten cats at a time, providing a space for them to socialize with humans, and hopefully expose them to new owners. Since their opening in 2017, Happy Cat Cafe has tripled Carol’s Ferals adoption rate allowing for more cats to find permanent homes.

What Others are Saying

I volunteer at Happy Cat because I love the joy it brings- to the guests, to the cats, to me as a volunteer. It’s special to be part of that. I love when complete strangers strike up conversations or share a moment in the cafe because of something cute or funny a cat is doing. My favorite cats are the timid lovers who just need a bit of reassurance. Orson and Skitter are great examples. Volunteering can be a bit of work, especially if you’re opening or closing, but it’s well worth it to see the joy on people’s faces when they interact with the cats and to see cats gains socialization and people skills.
